Dream and Think Big and in Order to Reach this Work Together in Multidisciplinary Teams

Something we and our project partners have come across is getting stuck by thinking in shapes too soon (size, who, where, how, etc.). We have learnt that it is better to postpone that.

You cannot reach something new with an old vision

First of all it is important that you know exactly what you want to achieve. However, if the shape has already been determined, you look within the limitations of what you think is possible at that moment. When, in contrast, you create new combinations, there are almost unlimited possibilities. The trick is to let go of the limiting thought and believe in the fact that the shape will naturally follow the content.

Brainstorm freely and think big!

And don’t do this all on your own or with the same bunch of familiar people. We have noticed that working with multidisciplinary project teams brings us further with better solutions. We create unexpected combinations between people from different backgrounds, with varying competences and perspectives (e.g. a banker, an anthropologist, a politician, a communication expert, an econometrist). Therefore, brainstorming, devising and realizing the project plan occur with more energy, synergy and speed. Recognize your own strengths and possibilities and make up for them by surrounding yourself with people who have them. Co-creation is crucial: less risk and more capacity!
